More mini-adventures

Not all adventures have to be grand affairs that require a lot of planning. On mid summer’s night we had a few friends over and camped out in our back garden. There was a barbecue, a fire to keep us toasty, some drinks to keep us lubricated and plenty of conversation under the stars.

The children had a great time and were very excited about camping out. They got to play in the garden until the wee small hours and then thought that it was great fun getting under canvas and into sleeping bags.

Everyone had fun and it was a great way to have a number of people over for the night without worrying about where they are all going to sleep. Obviously it helps if you have a larger garden that can fit a couple of tents in it but the point remains that an adventure does not have to be a spectacular affair. Do something out of the ordinary.
